Dear Colleagues,
As you informed in the previous newsletter, the “Specialized Seminar on Seismotectonic of Iran” held on March, 6-7, 2012 at Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences, Zanjan, Iran. Scientists of the Geological Survey of Iran, Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS), International Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology (IIEES), Tehran University, University of Birjand, Bahonar University of Kerman and National Cartographic Center of Iran participated in this seminar to present their recent achievements on seismicity, seismotectonics, paleoseismology and neotectonics of Iran. Furthermore, outstanding seismologists and geologists from different organizations of the other countries attended at the seminar and give speeches. Prof. Bertrand Meyer and Prof. Micheal Sebrier from UPMC, University of Paris 06, Prof. Fuyuan Wu, Prof. Wenjiao Xiao and Prof. Weiqiang Ji from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Tai-Lin Tseng and Prof. Jyr-Ching Hu from National Taiwan University present results of their studies in different parts of Iran.
It is our pleasure to announce you that the CGMW Secretariat for the Middle-East is ready to inform the other members about the international symposiums and conferences, which are going to be held in the Middle-East countries on geosciences.
